My friends and I bought our gilded Athena voyages last year but never needed them so kept them so we could get another set this year and stack them at once. Previously you could have multiple gilded voyages from previous years stacked.
However upon buying my gilded Athena this year I've found it had replaced my one from last year leaving me with 1 as opposed to the 2 I should have. Please tell me this is a bug and not intended. If it was really intended, why on earth would you not tell the player base beforehand so we could use the voyage as opposed to losing it?
The PvP buzz around gildeds is really the only reason I have left to play the game after the neglect towards PvP over the past year and not allowing people to stack gildeds with voyages from previous years has already killed the hype for me. Stealing regular gildeds is something we've been doing for 3 years now, was really just hoping for more stacks this year but guess that ship has sailed.
edit: contacted support who replied saying my ticket had been put on hold while they investigate and will update in due course, seems as though it's a bug so fingers crossed those who lost them get them back. Will update the post when/if they update me any further.
edit 2: according to the support twitter this is intended, nice of them to announce it hours after it released as opposed to beforehand, cant say I'm surprised seen as my expectations for Rare were already rock bottom so it is what it is. -1 gilded I guess lol
edit 3: turns out it was a bug, got following update from support: 'Following the recent issue where newly purchased Gilded Voyages were overwriting previously owned Gilded Voyages, any affected players will receive a new Gilded Voyage in January'. Those in my position just wait and it'll be re-added in January thankfully.
