Voice chat not working

    Hello, I have a problem when trying to communicate with any other players in Sea of Thieves. Others can hear me, see my talking icon above my head, but I can't hear anyone else talking, and I can't see the speech icon above their name.

    Anyone knows a possible fix?

    In the audio settings, try changing the chat output setting to "speakers", even if you are using headphones. You can also try changing the Proximity Chat setting.

    @ahoj-slunicko I have been having a lot of Audio issues too. Game chat seems to just turn off. Leaving game and coming back in fixes it. BUT eventually it gets broken and I am not sure what is triggering the break. It has been consistent however.

    @dr-orchamedes tried several restarts of the game and pc, nothing helped

    I would have said potentially a privacy issue but it's odd that they can still hear you if that were the case.

    If you're on PC, have you tried setting going to your Sound Control Panel (settings - system - sound - on the right hand side under "related settings") and right-clicking on your output under the playback tab, and "Set As Default Communication Device" - not just "Set As Default Device" (though select that also).

    Without knowing more about your setup, it's a bit hard to figure out.

    I am going to assume you've already either reinstalled or reset the app? Given it seems like you've searched online for this extensively, those would have probably come up.

    I'm at a bit of a loss, I'm afraid. I would just recommend getting in touch with support and mention the things you've tried.

    I was just hoping someone might know an easy and fast quick I haven't found yet :P

    On Xbox, I have had numerous communication issues lately across multiple games. However, hard-resetting my console has always fixed the issue.

    Sometimes I have a voice chat issue too. It happens in some servers where I notice the voice chat symbol not appearing, as soon as I switch servers though, the function manages to be working correctly again.
