Twilight Hunter Drops Changed at the Last Minute. Why?

Yep, looks like they made a mistake and mixed up the assets in the game. This is probably a different variant that was supposed to come in the future. It's kind of a shame that they're running with calling it Twilight Hunter in that case, as you said it doesn't really match the items we got so far.

We will probably get the original version eventually, with a different name now, due to this mix up.

I actually like both versions but I'm a little bit sad that the set will forever be incorrectly matched.

Keep in mind that this website is the only space advertising the incorrect version, and the official Twitch Drops campaign page as well as all of their official social spaces are displaying the blue version.

If that is the case, then they should just say so instead of trying to bait and switch, ninja-swap the advertisement at the last minute. Or they could patch in the correct thing they originally advertised. Whatever they do, they shouldn't act like they didn't mess up when they did, that's just shady.

If I'm the every day user, Twitch drops is showing me one thing and I'm getting a different thing in game - as far as one could tell, it is being falsely advertised.

They changed it to the darker one on the website within the last couple of hours, so I would say that is the "correct" one now (even if it wasn't originally intended to be).

I would guess the in-game assets were mixed up, as that's a more likely scenario given how they've gone about trying to remedy it. It's much easier to change the promo material, tell everyone this is now the Twilight Hunter set, than have to update the game again to correct it. They've probably sent new art promo assets to Twitch but it will take time to change them on their end. I think Twitch are on pacific time.

EDIT: Actually just checked again and they are now updated on Twitch also.

That's a pretty shady way of doing things. I wish they would face it head on and communicate rather than pretending this is what the intended.

@chronodusk I personally think it’s pretty lame because now we have an incomplete set and a random new set we literally just learned of today. If they’re set of giving this new one out, I feel they should either drop both parts a day (ex: new and intended hook on hook day, new and intended eyepatch on the eyepatch day etc.) or just add the actual twilight set to outpost stores which in actuality should have been what was done from the start. This new set isn’t twilight hunter so they’ll eventually have to fix the in game names and descriptions.

I ignored this set because I didn't like the colors. But I just found out they changed it and now I missed an amazing set.
I will contact the support team to ask what I can do to get it.
