its a tie in with another game franchise....
also this was never a twitch drop when it first released and nor is it now...
@warlord9493 They brought the Halo set back multiple times already for various drops. I had assumed they’d bring the set back again for the actual release of Halo Infinite.
What’s the issue here? Do you sail with the set exclusively? Or do you have it stored away safely in your inventory like many, many others who have this set? This game is constantly getting new players, time to give them a little something for enjoying the game at the right time.
Ferryman set was tied to a limited release controller as part of the game launch. They always stated this was limited release.

It was available for all who played the game between June 15th and June 20th 2019 and then again August 20th to August 24th 2019.
It was then a twitch drop July 24 to July 31 2020.
It was also given out at the Xbox Fanfest 2020 as a code.
I am not gonna lie none of this says exclusive to me and none of this implied exclusive either and Rare also never said it would be exclusive.

Things can be given periodically and players do not need to be punished by never /ever/ being able to have access to something because they may have started to play later.
The new sails for the set is a nice embellished addition too.

The podcast was probably recorded weeks ago. They likely had a meeting and discussed it. The decision to re-release it is not a surprise. I’m happy to see others will get a chance at unlocking it. Plus those of us who already have it can get new sails and a flag on the second week.
When it comes to items like this, that require little to no effort to unlock and effectively amount to a promotion/advert for another game, I see no reason they shouldn’t return.

It’s your own fault for missing it. You’ll have to wait for them to get back around to that set as currently they’re doing new ones. Calling that set exclusive is using the mentality of the people who complain every year about skeleton pets returning to the emporium.

Also if I remember correctly, the Frozen Horizon clothes were from Jan-Feb twitch drops, so it hasn’t been a year yet.

While we understand your intention is to leave feedback this sort of post does not add to constructive debate or discussion on the forums.
Cosmetics such as those tied to the Halo set are created to celebrate our sister studios under Microsoft and, while they may be time limited, they are not considered exclusive or legacy items and never have been and we are thrilled to able to offer more players a reason to fly their Spartan flag.
