Short-Handed Communication

  • @ghostpaw said in Short-Handed Communication:

Our crew started saying green, yellow, and red to indicate distance of another ship a couple years ago. So “green galleon southwest” means they are quite far off and not a threat. “north sloop red” means they are an island away or less. Where the lines for yellow are have been an issue sometimes.

I use this method too, but with the quick chat:
    "They're far away!"
    "They're close!"
    "Enemy here!"
    😵

  • @galactic-geek That works too but it doesn’t say what type of ship. I can’t remember why we even started it now. Sometimes they just create this stuff when things go wrong and someone asks, “what should we have done differently?” I hadn’t really thought about it until you brought up the topic.
