transfering items straight from and to a storage crate

  • when transferring supplies from crates into barrels its a bit annoying. it kind of hurts my hand when doing it quickly.

it would be a huge improvement if i could transfer items to (for example a wood barrel) straight from a crate. so i would be holding a wood crate and an option would pop up saying transfer all when standing next to the wood barrel. and it would transfer everything from the crate into the barrel or vice versa.

  • Aye, would need a bit of balancing but I can see this being a good feature to add.

  • @d0nwey from crate to barrel is a big yes from me, your fellow supplirate. However from barrel to crate is a big no from me.

It shouldn't be easier to strip a boat of its supplies. But it could be easier to move them into other crates or into barrels.

  • @captain-coel good point. didn't think of that.
maybe you can only do it to your own ship?

  • Convenience should have a cost or sacrifice

either it costs to do or it sacrifices a percentage of the cannonballs/wood to do it

  • @wolfmanbush right now it's more of a hassle and unfun activity. I don't think this deserves a cost, it would be a huge QoL change for many many pirates.

Same can be said about selling loot faster and unloading faster and shuffling other things around faster
it's all tied in to risk/reward/effort/making decisions

Speeding things up in this environment should come with some form of sacrifice/price. It being considered QoL doesn't change that.

The game is always trying to find ways to get some gold out anyway I see no reason why this would be excluded from that pursuit

  • @wolfmanbush this is a fair point however i would argue money or loosing cannonballs doesn't make a lot of sense. i would suggest making it take a longer amount of time to put them in

you could do that and a person has to stand there holding it to complete it. Interruptions restart the timer.

This then works for stealing them as well by adding risk to the reward
