"You must be signed to Xbox live"

Me and my friends decided to re-install Sea of Thieves, and since I forgot my original account, I decided it'd be a good idea to start over with a fresh, brand new Microsoft account. Little did I know, everytime when I open the game again, it automatically tries to enter with my old account. And when I sign in with my fresh account, the game says "You must signed to Xbox live to play Sea of Thieves. (Ashbeard)" I have tried everything but all of them were futile, so everything helps, thanks.
