I'm ok with it...before Thieves Haven run, we only got the athena chest, everything else was regular loot, so it got updated, with a chance of getting athena stuff now...Leveling up is also pretty easy...I solo a thieves haven run and then I do a DR athena voyage, before finished I hit rank V...then I down and upvote athena to get a second emissary voyage...just do this once and you are top tier in the emissary ledger...athena should be harder to rank up, but when you know how to do it, it's as easy as other factions, just takes a little bit longer
takes a lot longer than other factions. A faction shouldn't be built around someone like me or perhaps someone like you that can play highly efficiently with a lot of experience
factions need to be based around bringing appeal and activity to as many servers as possible
Athena is simply terrible reward for high risk and way too much time for a session based experience.
What's been the result of this? Very very few athena ships on any ole random server even though more people need athena done than ever before.
It's not appealing and it's high risk and it's not realistic for the average pirates and so hardly anyone does it and hardly anyone goes much above grade 3 or 4
We have things like FoF for the elite play. There is no reason to treat a faction like it's only for the most experienced players with 6 hours a day to play.
The servers have suffered significant activity levels from neglecting the faction. It needs to be realistic for the average pirate during a session and the reward has to line up with the risk.
A failing faction that drives people out doesn't do any of us any good.
