ok so I have collected 30 of them to get commedation. some with the bug some after the fix. the bottles are not spawning enough period. i have gone an hr and a half and not seen 1 bottle. yes i looked in shipwrecks, seagulls, beaches, etc. the other problem is most breath of the sea are at the end of shrines or after you beat a treasury…i get you want a grind but between actually finding a bottle then getting to the place to get bots…it can take a long time…if anything increase spawn and change from 30 to 15 or something….its a grind but way too much of a grind

These commendations and achievements will be staying in the game forever so there is no rush, getting 30 bottles in 3 months for the season is also very achievable given those averages.
Don't think of it as a grind, heck don't even think about the bottles at all and they will just naturally come.

They are definitely too seldom seen. Considering that they are a bit part of a currently running event, we should see them all over the place, but as it is, you can search islands for an hour and spot nothing.
I have better luck finding them in shipwrecks and floating debris, which suggests they may not be spawning properly on the islands.
Rare should want people to do the mermaid content, but as it is, many players have already turned their back on it. The people who are actually interested should be encouraged and not frustrated, or all that work on the content is for nothing.

@madfrito99 I play on Xbox. I can’t remember seeing anybody other than myself diving the coral treasury’s. I find everything a grind but you don’t need the bottles to enter and access the loot. I found one bottle today playing most the day.
@wavestalker you need 30 bottles to get 30 breath of the seas so get the commedation and be able to complete the sunken sorrow ship set and get the sword and blunderbuss

Or you need to find one who had such a bottle, did the quest and steal the Breath of the Sea from them.
On the OP, I actually like that we know have things to do that won't be finished by most within a day or two. Fixing the double count was a good thing. If you can do an average of 3 a these a week, it's finished right when the season ends - a lot less work than the Seeker of Ancient Vaults (that was opening 100 vaults).

Between that one, Hunter of the Damned Captains, and Cabin Fever... I never want to do any of those 3 types of Voyages again... And that's a real shame, because they're fun voyages. I wish I had taken my time with those instead of grinding them to a powder.
@madfrito99 that’s not how you unlock the weapons. The weapons are unlocked by killing both 250 Sirens and 250 Ocean Crawlers.

Yet wrong, I'm still missing around 10 bottles and have unlocked the weapons.
@madfrito99 you might want to check the shops before you try to correct me. The Sword, Blunder and Eye of Reach require the Conqueror of the Sunken Kingdom commendation. Which is the kills thing I mentioned before.
@sweetsandman Agreed. I have to switch between the different grinds otherwise it will kill the voyage type for me.

What happens, when you have multiple of them for 1 shrine? Are there more breath of the sea standing there then?

@schwammlgott yes actually! We found this out when we have two quests and low and behold we get two breaths out of it. Needlessly to say we were very surprised.

@butterfinger750 probably because most people aren’t over there to pick them up. Although I will say I found two bottles on a small island up in the wilds the other day. Looks like they’re more plentiful now that the grinders are done with the commendation
