Hunters call/ fishing

  • The game is already really good but can you add more stuff for hunters call that would be neat. Can you make it so you can by bait at sea post because and certain bait attracts be few that would make the fishing experience better. I have caught 762 fish and they have all been the same it would be awesome if you added new fish that had effect like one fish would add more regeneration or made you throw up or if you could make recipes that would sell for more at sea post.

  • @p3nut848y The fish you catch will change depending on where you fish and the bait you use. Check out the wiki for a bit more info on fishing in general.

  • @lwebbl I know but thanks any way I just want more fish

  • I posted a similar topic recently regarding purchasing bait. If you go into the menu, under your rep for Hunters Call, you will see there are several types of fish with a rare fish in each category. Most of them say the type of bait that is used and the area in which you can find them. If you aren't sure, it's normally in their name. Took me a minute to figure that out as well. Keep grinding on that Hunters Call. It's a tough one to max out.

Apologies, but this sentence stumped me. Are you saying certain bait types are rarer than others?

  • @augspacussh

Honestly I don’t remember. It might have been like certain bait effects the type of fish like ruby or sea foam splash tails and or trophy variants that would be neat.

I know but thanks anyway I am just being a little selfish by just asking for more stuff.

I'm lost. Leeches can be found where the water meets the shore. Earthworms in soft grassy areas. Grubs in sand & they only take a couple minutes to gather.

Splashtails do not require bait, nor do pondies & isle hoppers. Every fish, other than a splashtail, has to be caught in certain regions, or areas, with the correct bait (if required). Treacherous loot is the garbage that can be caught and is highly recommended to turn in if you're looking to complete hunters call.

  • @drizkillz ok thanks I did not know about treacherous loot.

    Also,

Most of the fish types are named according with their respective area:

Devilfish are found in Devil's Roar
Wildsplash are found in the Wilds
    Pondies are found in Ponds
Ancientscales ... you get the idea.
    Wreckers around shipwrecks.
Battlegills around active Forts & Skelly ships.
    Stormfish ... take a guess.

The only weird one is Islehoppers which are around big islands not little ones.

All of the Descriptions of the bait tell you which fish they catch.

    Good design. Very unobtrusive!

This is the most confusing conversation I've been a part of in quite a while.

You didn't answer my question at all. I wasn't asking for you to recall facts about the game, I was asking you to clarify this specifically 'certain bait attracts be few that would make the fishing experience better' Because I don't understand what you mean.

I thought you were under the impression that certain bait were rarer, to which I would've answered exactly what @drizkillz said.
