How about these alternatives to full body VR support?

  • Now as much as I would love full sit-down-controller-VR compatibility with this game, I can understand (slightly) why they aren't implementing it. It can cause motion sickness and all that, but frankly I'd love the option to chose if I want to risk that.

    HOWEVER!

I would be beyond ecstatic if they released their tall tales as a stand-alone full-fledged VR experience. Imagine the Pirates Life tall tales in VR. Physically lighting the lanterns, swinging your sword at the ocean crawlers, and rowing through the town the ride is based on.

Or, if I'm never allowed to hang out with my favorite POTC characters in VR, they could possibly make an original story in VR. Maybe a prequel? Play as a young Pirate Lord discovering the shroud for the first time? Or exploring the cave system that eventually leads to the location of the Athena's Fortune.

Sailing, fighting, and just exploring in this game all sound so wonderful. To step into this world, I know isn't something only I am wishing for.

I hope that either the controller VR support or a standalone experience happens, but this won't get done unless we are vocal about it. Let's fill this comment section with support to let them know we want this!!

  • Sea of Seasickness 😂

Although the immersion it would provide would be super cool

  • You can already set sail in VR - my brother has already done it! 😅

  • @galactic-geek Mind sharing how? VorpX? Any graphical glitches or texture popping? I mean unless Rare specifically says don't, I have no qualms with modding to VR. They won't do it so may as well do it myself haha. Unless it's not allowed of course.

  • @nyleaodacious Asked my brother on your behalf. He said VorpX was definitely 1 of the programs he used. He can't recall the others he used in conjunction with it, though.

    Whether it's allowed? 🤷‍♂️
