Fruit Crate Quest Drop Rate

@captain-coel, I'm in total agreement that the quests are all still in the game. I did eventually find 1 Fruit Crate quest after hours of searching as I said in my post, it's just that it's taking 20x as long to find each one now...And that may even be an under exaggeration quite frankly

The fact I could've done a Fort of Fortune and a Fort of the Damned in the time it took me just to FIND 1 Fruit Crate quest, let alone the additional 15-20 minutes it takes to then complete it is simply not right. All I'm saying is the drop rate seems to be severely nerfed and I hope Rare notices this sooner than later.

It's not as if the gold/xp reward is much anything at all for this quest and you stand close to zero chance of actually LFGing a group to get Fruit Crate quests done. I'm just doing it for the achievement and commendation, just never knew it'd be the longest and biggest grind in the game

Longest and biggest grind? What? Fruit crates? No way! If anything, then wood crates deserve this description (or all of those crates before they nerfed it)...the spawn rate of those is just RNG, so don't go just for that...play the game and when you get one, do it and go on with whatever you've done before...it will come by itself

@schwammlgott. And yes, wood crates are definitely the rarest in the game but that's the sole exception to one up this quest in rarity. So while I suppose it's not the biggest grind after all, it's still much closer of a which grind now than it used to be

@Captain Coel, I have no idea how it is you're doing this. I not only grinded the several hours I mentioned in my post just looking for 1 of these quests but also made the top ledger rank for EVERY emissary this month and didn't find so much as 1 of these voyages whilst doing so either. The drop rate on this is absolutely dismal now and it should certainly be addressed and put back to what it was just a few weeks ago.

Doing another 40+ of these is beyond unfathomable. I have 20 days played now and this wasn't something I was focused on till recently as I was simply trying to get to max rank in each faction before working on specific commendations. I'll be done with my achievements for 250 voyages completed for all 3 main factions by the time I MAYBE get this done at the new/current rate however.

At the end of the day I'd have certainly prioritized this commendation instead of putting it aside if only I knew it were going to be suddenly changed. If you are finding these, kudos to you. You've got more mettle than I

My apologies, I misworded my last post and just want to clear up any confusion.

Just to clarify, after the few hours intentionally grinding to make sure this quest was even still in the game, I did finally find 1 after 3 hours purely grinding for them, although the point was I didn't find another in the time it took to make it to max rank for each faction's monthly ledger. Also, as I previously said several posts ago, when just playing and not grinding for these quests I hadn't found a single one since the Pirates' Life update either

This drop-rate is clearly too low and as I said was likely done mistakenly with the update. If you care to share your secret for still finding them so frequently I'm all ears

I'm new to the forums and hadn't a clue that was a feature. Had no intent sending my response to so many people. Completely unintended and accidental. My bad and won't happen again

@atomicdane good thing you got it done when you did. It's 20x worse now since the update, which is why I made the post hoping Rare takes notice and reverts it back to the old drop-rate

I wouldn't even be opposed to them increasing the number of crates needed for the commendation if it was switched from a droppable quest to a voyage you could just get from the merchant, similar to the gunpowder barrel and animal delivery voyages. Anything would be better than the current situation quite frankly

@lem0n-curry Thank you very much. I mean I have 20 days played and over 1,500 chests sold for every faction so I don't know how 'new' that makes me to the game

I just can't find this particular quest 'since the Pirate's Life update and it used to be rather common. Other people have been saying the same thing too, which is why I made the post hoping Rare takes notice of the situation
