So I have been playing this game since the closed beta back in January 2018 and to be completely honest with you, I feel like the PVP in this game needs to be updated more often. I feel like even though we have gotten new weapons such as cursed cannonballs and blunder bombs, I feel like we need more weapons that the player can actually use that could also be used for PVE.
- Classic Muskets
This weapon would have a slow reload and would be found scattered across islands across the world. The musket would eventually run out of power (like the trident), and would also have a bayonet on the front that can also be used as a hand held knife/throwing knife that can be dual wielded. You an also attach it to a musket if you have both of them or if your lucky enough, you could find a musket with both.
- New sword fighting styles
This would add new fighting styles/sword types between players to add more weapon diversity. The three styles I have in mind are light, which would be a faster attack speed but does less damage. Medium, which would be what we have now. And heavy which would be slower but would do more damage. I also would like to see a new charging move for heavy and light style. The heavy would have the player cause a large slamming attack that would stun nearby players in a certain radius depending on the amount of time the attack was charged. The light charging move would be a combo that, if the first hit lands, the player will be able to attack a lot faster for a short time.
- The boarding axe
This weapon would allow players to use heavy attacks and be able to cut harpoon ropes when enemies harpooned their ship.
The final thing I would want to add is a new merchant vessel system that allows actual NPC merchant ships to sail certain trade routes. Players could attack these ships for valuables that could be sold to the reapers bones. Or, they could take a voyage to escort them to their destination. The players escorting could also collect the bounties of pirates who have raided merchant vessels. I love this game and I think the community would really enjoy these ideas.
