This is why Sea of thieves needs PvE servers for progression.

  • PvEr's are at a distinct disadvantage against PvPr's because while you only need access to 4 things to PVP (wood, canonballs, food, and bucket), you need access to all things quest related on your controller for PvE. This puts the ones doing PvE at a distinct disadvantage that cannot be overcome by "getting gud".
There are more than enough challenges now for PvEr's with the new content we don't need the addition of PvPr's outpost camping to sink us just as we are about to cash in our hard earned loot. Nothing would be hurt by packing all the ones wanting PvP into their own server. Far from it they would get more of a challenge.

  • There was literally a post like this just 10 minutes before you.

They’re not going to remove PvP no matter how many people want it gone. It’s always been a PvPvE game and will always remain so.

This is where rare gave their thoughts about PvPvE
This is the podcast where they discussed PvP and PvE
This is the article Joe Neate wrote on custom servers
This is a thread on custom servers

  • We NEED a DOWNVOTE button!!!

  • @schwammlgott that would probably get abused just like every other platform that has it.

  • @kralon as @aribalam has furnished you with more than enough links to follow up regarding PvPvE and the subject is closed, I'll be dropping anchor.
Please use the search facility to see whether there are any posts you can add your comments to rather than start a new thread. :)

    Cheers!
