I think this is just me not understanding how this works, but I got to Captain in the emissary ledger so that I could get both of the new Gold Hoarder rewards, the cannons and wheel, and when I logged on the next day, my Captain rank had gone down to a Marauder. Can someone explain this to me? I've gotten to Master in the Reaper's Bones and I'd hate to have to do that all over again.

The ledger is a ranking of X amount of people per rank based on the value that was achieved throughout the entire period. To maintain your rank one must maintain a value that keeps them ranked among the top X pirates.
If you dropped it simply means more pirates have passed you in value and you were not high enough to still be within the category you are trying to achieve.
@pithyrumble Do you think 500K is good enough? Or at least on the boarder? I don't always have time to play, so I'm just gauging how good my current standing is now.
@cotu42 Thank you for clearing this up. I always thought that the rankings weren't tied to my own personal score like that.

Borderline. That's gonna have you about 200k above the line. 100k is easy to do in a session. And remember, your Emissary score is not based on how much gold you make, but what items you're turning in. Maybe focus on one faction at a time instead of all 3 (4... 5?)
