Purchase Treasure chests

    It would be good to buy a empty treasure chest, as there have been days were I haven't found one for a while, so if I could buy one then at least I can store loose treasure in. I know you find them on islands, but yesterday I had so many captain skulls, and I think players could see the glow, so it'd be nice to have a chest ready to hide that stuff away! Thanks.

    @w8r-ch1ld You can (albeit not empty)! Buy an ashen chest voyage and ashen key voyage from the outpost.

    That's a pretty expensive way to do it. I'd be up for buying empty chests, it's a hassle solo moving skulls and trinkets, the chests were a good help but the RNG on finding one isn't great. I suppose you could island hop looking for a captain then do the quest but that takes time away from voyages.

    My assumption with the addition of the purchasable crates, rare has either already considered this, and/or is holding off to see how the purchasable crates works out first. I'm not seeing a reason NOT to add them.

    Isn't there a tall tale that gives you one right away at your first island in the TT?

    Definitely would be convenient. However, I think the PvE lords out there dont consider how these start up conveniences just makes things easier for the server hoppers to come take that loot. I dont server hop much, but definitely acquire around half my loot from other players. Would def be nice to have a practically guaranteed collector chest to harpoon out of the water 😋

    Suppose that might be subjective. I've got thousands of doubloons just collecting dust so it's no big deal the times I feel I want to grab one real quick.

    @danbeardluff aye, but new pirates won't necessarily, what they probably will have is 500g, the chests would have to cost at least that to stop people buying and reselling infinitely, but 500g is easy to come by, you can get more than that for fewer dabloons than a key quest

    It's so easy to find riddle maps from bonus bottle voyages. Just quickly do 1 at a nearby island and violá!
