Story is
The Amsterdam was built in 1748 at the VOC shipyard in Amsterdam and was launched there around the turn of the year. After loading and embarking on the Texel roadstead, it set out on 8 January 1749 for its maiden voyage to the East.
On board were the usual number of crew members for this type of ship (203 men, including the 33-year-old captain Willem Klump), a contingent of soldiers (127 men), and also 5 passengers. The cargo consisted of merchandise (textiles and wine), ballast (building blocks and cannons), and also contained articles for use by the VOC in the East (paper, pens, tools, etc.) and provisions. The cargo also included 27 chests of silver, which at the time had a total value of about 300,000 guilders; today several millions of euros.

For example, each ship / sloop has its own unique name that does not exist twice in the game. a ship without a name is damned and brings unequal upon the high seas of the world. Yes I am by believer. ;-) Wink
