Loot disappearing - no it wasn't stolen!

    Yesterday I had a very bad experience. We had a good galleon crew, and sunk a lot of ships.
    We had easily loot for 300k on board (ashen winds + skelli fleet + stolen loot), along with at least 6 cannonball crates, and as much full supply crates, tridents, ritual skulls, u name it.

    Suddenly ALL items just disappeared in front of our eyes. We only had the stuff in the barrels and our grade V reaper flag left.

    All items disappeared at the same time, like pirates leaving the server.
    There was no one on board who could have stole it, or thrown it in the water. It all just bugged out.

    Anyone else experienced such a thing?

    I have several 1000 hrs of playtime, and i got 'rared' quite often (disonnects or whatever) but THIS was really annoying.

    @mohky5536 we had this before on a rowboat when our ship got far away, when we reloaded the area all loot reappeared.

    Never had it on a ship though, but i am thinking it is technically still there however invisible and uninterractable.

    I know rare has been working on optimisations with loot by changing it to less resource intense versions when alot of loot is close, this might be a weird side effect.

    Alt-f4 and rejoin might help but not sure.

    It wont get you any of the lost loot/gold back but it will help identify the issue and a fix be made for it so it doesnt happen in the future

    Where you perhaps sailing through a portal with one of the PotC Tall tales active ?
    Though that should've left you your cannonball crates.

    We actually tried that, one of our guys left and came back, but it was still gone.

    Another one of my mates said when it started he could still see it, but not interact, and soon after it was gone for him too.
    We were all on our galleon by the time. Also our rowboat disappeared, but the ropes were looking like it was still on. Weirdest bug ever.

    i love the amount of content that is constantly being added to SOT - BUT please ensure the quality of patches. Lately i feel like every new feature adds more bugs :(

    no, we had no TT active, and we were sailing from the southern Devils Roar to the ancient isles. No Portal.
