During TT 3 last night me and my crew-mate used the key the dog had to unlock the cell with the ghosts. However once we did that, we couldn't use the key to pass through to the next area where you meet up with Jack Sparrow.
We had to quit the TT and resume from a checkpoint in order for this to work.
