Hello I will probably buy the game in a few days and I wanted to know if it was necessary to have an xbox live gold subscription to play only on PC

@sarnlex no a gold subscription is not required, but you do need a Microsoft account in order to play. Microsoft accounts are free to make and can be created at Microsoft.com
@sarnlex Xbox Live Gold is not required to play on a PC/Windows - neither for the Windows 10 version or the Steam version. Microsoft tried that years ago with the Xbox Gold for Windows and it was predictably a flop. Shame we console users are still held to that, but at least have a few perks for it now in free games every month.

It's true that the subscription has an advantage but I just want to buy myself that this game so in the long term it's too expensive
