Hey fellow pirates, I have a question and there might be an explanation for this but I couldn't find anything online. I was playing today and when I and my crew came time to sell our Fort of Fortune haul, I noticed something I've seen only a couple of times before. I sold the Ashen Lord skull and the price came to be 18000 gold rather than 15000, and the items following it were also above their average price range? We started selling everything right around 10:00 am MDT. Is there a specific time where when you sell items within a given time frame you get a small percentage bonus? Thought I would throw this out there and see what people can tell me.

gold rush times are 2 hours per day and depends on your time zone
"Gold Rush is an Event held twice a day, for a one hour period each time, during which all sold Treasure have a 1.5x reward multiplier.

should be 1pm-2pm and 9pm-10pm eastern time
and then when the clocks change back it'll be 12pm-1pm and 8pm-9pm

@galactic-geek I believe the times would be from 9:00 PM-10:00 PM and 1:00 PM- 2:00 PM if my calculations are correct
@wolfmanbush I agree with that except I didn't get 1.5 x the amount. that would mean I receive like 22000 and not 18000? Unless maybe the value of the skull just changes?

My guess would be that someone used the skull and reduced the value
@wolfmanbush Perhaps, but it was exactly 18000, our Athena chest I believe was around 11250 so maybe that could help you understand? Thank you for your help! I did not realize this Gold Rush was a thing in Sea of Thieves and will defiantly be utilizing it.

unless people just burn the world down with it the typical price reduction for usage is 1k-2k for people just playing around with it
my guess is you got double gold weekend pay not gold rush pay and someone used 2k worth of the skull burning things
