Can you guys put an option to turn off auto re-centre on the sails? It sucks and mouse players can look where they want! Advantage

  • Hey,

Think the title pretty much says it all. Just sick of it bouncing back when in the middle of pvp. Especially against pc players. I’ve used both and it’s so nice on mouse looking where I want. I will look at the sails if I want to.

Just have a toggle to turn it on and off. Drives me nuts as it’s pointless and gives the pc guys more edge when looking out for boarders.

Might as well have an X on my back lol

    Cheers

  • @cpt-blackrib controller can look when they want too, they have to try to hold the position too.

  • @mcgarnaglewolf I know that. But it’s a pain. I want free look. Done 2k hours in the game and it’s still annoying. Especially as when I get to use mouse it’s not an issue as you look where you want and it holds position. Can’t just use mouse all the time cos of friends not wanting to be owned by m+k all the time.

Just think as it’s more of a hinderance it should have an option to turn it off. Met a lot of players that agree. Just pointless.

  • turn off auto re-centre on the sails?

What? I’m in console and it doesn’t auto do anything. I have to manually do it.

  • @cpt-blackrib hadn't thought it might be different with a mouse.

Definitely think there should be an option to set it one way or the other.

  • @burnbacon you have to hold the control stick of it looks back up the sails when you’re trimming them. After 2k hours of playing I know where they are GAME! I even knew when I first played. Lol.

On mouse you can listen out for the audio that they’re set correctly while looking round. It’s just frustrating when it doesn’t add anything and works better on mouse. Like the mouse doesn’t have enough advantages lol

  • @luciansanchez82 yeah, for new players that’s cool so they can see what it’s doing. Becomes a little old very soon though as I want to look about and keep it steady. Not always that straight forward when the boats all over the shop in rough seas.
