Skeletons spawning inside rocks.

@fantome-of-blue just reset the island if that happens, also I wonder why you got so bad luck with this...it happens sometimes, but not THAT often...

it happens when someone else is around the island which glitches out your skellies

have your whole crew die and meet on the ferry

if someone is around the island wait for them to leave

also check the caves/caverns on those islands, they very often spawn inside caves. crook's, devil's, and the grove have common spawn zones in the cave parts of those islands

Yeah, that's kind of why I started the thread, because I'm thinking there's an issue with the latest update. I logged off about an hour ago, and I was looking all over Fletcher's Rest to complete a Four Skeleton Captain quest, but only fought one band of skeletons and their captain.

I thought it might have something to do with the quakes and eruptions, but since it happened at Snake Island and one or two other non-volcanic areas ... I don't know.

After I defeated one captain at Fletcher's, I turned in his skull and some treasure, came back, but couldn't find any other skeletons anywhere. It was really weird.

I've also had some lag issues recently, so I'm wondering if it's related to that. Last night my net went crazy for some reason, so I reset my modem and rebooted to clear everything. I'm not sure if it's related.

But, short answer, I have actually left islands and come back, but with no luck. I'm not sure what's going on.

@fantome-of-blue didn't do skellies since the update, so maybe it's an issue with that...if it keeps on happening, raise a support ticket

I'm trying to think if that's what happened. It may be so, because I do recall there was one instance where another player was on the other side of the island while I was just giving up and leaving.

But on Snake Island, the key incident that tipped me off, there weren't any other players that I knew of that were there. One skeleton spawned in the cliff face on the middle island over looking the small beach. I could hear it doing stuff, but it obviously couldn't get out. If there was another player on the island, then he was on the west end or on the western mini island.

It's just really annoying. I seem to recall that this was one of the issues that made me quit six months after the game first launched. The game plays smoother now, has fewer glitches, so I'm not as worked up like a couple years back, but it's still kind of annoying.

At Crook's I was able to hear some skeletons spawning on the outside while I was in a cave (which was kind of odd in and of itself), so yeah I do get that. It may just be my bad luck, but when I was over at Fletcher's there was absolutely no one around, and yet on a four-captain skeleton quest I could barely find one or two skeletons to fight. I'm still thinking there's an issue with the eruptions and geysers in that area of the map, but that's just me guessing.

This occasionally happened when the game was first released, but this streak of bad luck seems like a bigger issue.
