To buy commodity crates you must be a merchant emissary. You and everyone in your crew can only buy seven total per outpost. I think, but I’m not entirely sure, the outposts restock every in-game day at 6am. Once someone in your crew buys these crates, only they can claim them from the merchant.
I’ve also did these trade routes on galleon just three hours ago and they worked fine. If your still having issues, the game restarting the game should fix it.
@themacmurdock yes it happened to me. I waited around for about 10 minutes in case it was lag, but just couldn't take the items.
I logged out and back in, was put back at the same outpost, all commodities had a green tick on then in the menu, and I was able to collect them!
Very strange stuff, I raised a support ticket for it to let Rare know.
Yesterday we sailed for 4 hours doing these missions,and all of a sudden every outpost was broken.
Today i sailed also,and at 1 outpost we had the same issue.
It will let you buy it,but the merchant is not giving us our stuff.
I think the merchant has found a way to rob us from our gold :)
@themacmurdock if you're able to, try logging out (whole crew), starting a new session and go back to that outpost. You'll hopefully find they're ready to pick up without needing to be bought again. That's what worked for me, though I was on my own and the game happened to put me back at the same outpost again when I started the new session.
It's also worth raising a ticket with Rare. The more people that do, the more info they have to investigate it.
@themacmurdock Rare is aware there is a bug retrieving commodity crates, specifically if you have a merchant emissary quest that doesn't get pulled completely before trying to collect commodities the UI becomes unresponsive to input.
@luciansanchez82 having the same problem now on multiple outposts. It wont let me pick up my commodities or emmisary cargo run as a grade 5. Exiting and rejoining hasn’t fixed it either.
Shame.
@mostexpendable oh man that sucks. I got an email back from Rare to say they're aware and working on it. So hopefully will have a patch through soon to fix it.
