Loot disappearing off row boats

    So my crew has noticed four instances in which loot disappears, and reappears, when stacking on row boats.

    First instance. Running vaults and stacked three vaults. Loaded vault loot in row boat and dropped it and two crews members off at morrows for turn in. After turn in, which we noticed was a little light, crews returned to ship and finished another vault. When returning to the outpost, noticed our row boat still had loot that did not render during turn in. Thought it was a fluke...

    Second instance: stacked loot and did the same. This time the main ship was parked at the outpost, but used the row boat to bring to turn in. During turn in crew member said “what happened to the loot? I just watched some vanish”. We turned in everything, which again was light, and headed back out. On return about 30 min later, again row boat showed loot.

    Third instance: row boat was loaded down with three vaults, pulled rowboat in, and it got destroyed by a geyser. Loot dropped on the ground. Loot turn in was about half of the three vaults. We sailed away, sailed back, died, reloaded crew members, and tried everything to get it to respawn. Eventually gave up, did another vault, came back, and the loot was on the ground again.

    The fourth instance happened the same way as the first two. We unload the boat, leave, and come back to more loot on the row boat. Left Morrows and sailed around Ruby’s to see if we needed to be further away to get the respawn.

    Not sure if you know about this, but I figured I’d give a heads up. Something is causing the loot to disappear on the rowboats, only to reappear later.

    Shortly after the release of season one, there was a lot of people talking about loot that was 'invisible'. This seems to be less common now however.

    Third instance: row boat was loaded down with three vaults, pulled rowboat in, and it got destroyed by a geyser. Loot dropped on the ground. Loot turn in was about half of the three vaults.     From my experience of doing many upon many Thieves Haven runs, rowboats seem to disappear after a shorter time without player interaction then loot. I've discovered my loot that was originally place on a rowboat floating in the water after returning to Thieves Haven for some time.

    In most of your instances there is clearly a bug of some sort, which other people are experiencing. If it's still happening I would try to replicate it and report it with as much information as possible.

    In update 2.0.23 they added the following change:

    Loot Haul Memory Improvements

    When collecting notable hauls of different loot in a single place, the game will now optimise performance more quickly by changing the appearance of certain loot items. Items will return to their standard visuals when optimisation allows.

    It's possible that there is some kind of bug with this which is causing your chests to switch from their real appearance to invisible, instead of to the more performant version. This would explain why you find them again after selling loot; there is less loot on the rowboat, so those items can switch back to the standard visual again.

    Leave and come back....same happened to us player took row boat to reapers hideout. Made him take ethe mermaid back to ship as we turned it around back to the hide out. It was still there.

    I had the same thing happen to me after a triple stack fotd steal. I decided it would be a good idea to row some of the loot away before the galleon crew comes back. I got to the outpost and all my loot had vanished. Didn't know there was a bug and basically rage quit lol. Last I heard you could destroy the rowboat with blunder bombs and the loot would reappear.

    I've had loot disappear from me while speed swimming with it on occasion. When it happens, it doesn't reappear for 2 minutes or so. I can't even interwith it either, though oddly enough, my crewmates can still both see and interact with it. When they do, I can see it again without having to wait for the full 2 minutes.
