120hz option on Xbox Series X causes hard crashes

    Hi there - just wondered if anyone else has the same issue. I play on the Series X with a 144hz monitor, if i run the game in 120fps mode and play for any considerable amount of time then it always seems to crash my Xbox completely (full shutdown). Initially i suspected i may have a faulty unit so i sent my Series X back and received a brand-new replacement, yet the same thing happens on this one.

    I don't receive any error message, nor the "xbox shutdown due to overheating" message so i'm in the dark as to why this is happening. It does not happen on any other game, seems to be specific to SOT.

    Just wondered if anyone else has the same setup and if they've experienced the same. P.S. running the game at 60fps seems fine, can't remember ever crashing at all.

    Yes. This. Dont remember crashing at all before enabling 120 fps. Now like clockwork if i play over 5 - 6 hours it crashes. Every time.

    @goofythescot before my little brother and i uninstall the game this game always hard crash our Xbox Series X that is an other reason we uninstall the game from our pc and Xbox Series X

    I have had this problem as well. I tried uninstalling and signed back in but it still doesn’t seem to work properly

    Yep same issue here hard crashes alot, sometimes you get that buzz sound than crash other times the pictures just freezes.

    I don't know if I should post this on another thread or make a new one, but this sh*t is absolutely re-tarded. I've played this game at launch and this cr@p happened to me on my xbox one, I thought my xbox one was faulty and turned it in for a newer xbox one X. This was a year after the game's release. Then what? nearly three years later we are still having the same issues? Of all the dumb BS this game has thrown at me, this one takes the cake. Junk should have been fixed a LONG time ago. I could go on with asininity of it, but I guess I could stop here. If this issue doesn't get addressed soon, I'm going to start another thread and they can get onto me there.
