Got disconnected from my 300k worth ship

  • Straight into main menu without even a chance to reconnect to my session. Now here's the real kicker, i can hop to another game immediately, but not my ship(that had an open crew player in it).

The error said that my connection was lost, but if it was i wouldnt be sending this right now...

  • This has been happening for weeks now with no fix insight. I got tired of putting in bug reports for that because they kept telling me it was my internet to blame lol i would get kick from the game same as you but not from the party chat so my connection was definitely fine now i try to limit my voyages to 2 hours or less to avoid the gold loss problem or i sail with friends so i can rejoin sure wish they would fix this problem!

  • @Elhant3154 If you get disconnected for any reason other than quitting or being lazybearded, you should be able to immediately reconnect, as the game gives you a 10 minute window to do so (which is far more generous than most other video games). That said, it won't prevent anything from happening to your ship in the interim. 😅

Sometimes, when I try to reconnect, I get another error message (usually lavenderbeard, if I recall correctly) instead of reconnecting. However, when I restart the game and try again, it usually works just fine when it asks me if I want to reconnect to my previous session. Have you tried that?

  • And you went how long without turning any loot in as insurance?

@elhant3154 He has a point - if you turn in often this becomes a minor issue at best.

  • Some people like to see large loot stacks.

Me personally... I don't get it. Stack a bunch of loot on your ship is high risk and not too mention the 30 minutes of having to sell a large haul.

I play solo a lot, so I prefer the low risk model when playing. Manages my internal stress too ;)

    Likewise. 😉

  • The only real sympathy I have for lost loot is the times people turn it in and don't get credit for it.

As far as carrying around large piles just to peacock there isn't anything to sympathize with. Whether PVE or PVP or server issue people know it's not a good idea to stack. People take the risk so take the pain.

  • I was disconnecting regularly every half hour and my party chat was fine. It's not an internet issue, it's being disconnected randomly for no reason.

  • @blam320 I didn't have a chance to turn in my loot...
All I wanted to do was Order of Souls ghost fleet. I do that. Flameheart spawn IMMEDIATELY on top of the same island I was fighting the fleet. I mean, when i say immediately, I didn't have the chance to start looting the fleets boss loot that level of immediately... Now, i say, screw it, I have order of souls emissary, so might as well do the Flameheart. I complete the flame heart. Another player ship that was sitting around the entire fight decides its a good time to start fighting us. Long story short they sink too. I loot them and bolt in a random direction since i saw another ship sailing on the horizon. After a moment I realize that an Ashen Lord has spawn directly on the same island too... Decide to turn the ship around and... dc...

And the greenhorn that was on the ship who had difficulty putting out a fire / tried to repeatedly use a grappling hook to a ghost ship was all alone on my ship...

So yeah, didn't really have the time to sell, nor my 300k is the exact number count either. I mean, no normal person would have a close estimate on his loot after all that...

Yes, you did have time to sell. At any point you could have just cut your losses and run. Flameheart spawned? Grab some valuables with the harpoon gun and get out. Another player ship is coming? Run the other direction. Ashen Lord spawned while you were on your way out? You weren't under any obligation to turn around.

  • @blam320 Well that's not a very manly way to play the game... We're Pirates my brother. Greed is a part of us. ALL of the gold and shinnies are belong to us!~

  • Be sure that community will say:
"it's your fault not game server potatos fault don't stack sell the first chest you find...", this game is kinda abandoned the only things updated is the shop. Deal with it 3 years and not a real improvements just payment skin payment pass, you won't get anything back cause there is just no support to the game.

    Arena is abandoned

Server got lag spike no matter what u have i got a Gigabit and I see people in arena lagging and teleporting (often lag switcher on purpose)

They just don't wanna fix anything sorry for your loss but this is the truth.

Rare it's just doing nothing, loading time 10x longer than GTA Online even with M2 SSD and a Gigabit connection.

If you wanna check the status of the game try arena it's a lobby simulator, also game lags cause people use tons of script to break the game and exploit and if you stack treasures in a game where you should stack trasures server start lagging as hell!

I saw tons of online indie games with a better status.

(I really like the concept of the game, but everything else its just an abandoned mess for now can't defend Rare in any way they should be only be fired if you ask me, a so good concept wasted and abandoned the only things they keep up is the shop as I said before what a luck!

My advice find your self a nice alliance server you will complete the game in less than 1 month get all the experience you need the milions they ask for recolor stuff and you won't miss 300K anymore you will make milions in few hours, they don't wont pve so make your personal pve you will find that pve is poor like 3-4 events to repeat until you get bored to farm gold for ugly skins the best skins are behind paywall on a game you paid...

This is the true pirate experience they just scam you with an halfbaked game. Pity it was cool if developed.

"Manliness" has nothing to do with it. As the great pirate of legend Jack Sparrow has proven time and again, there's no shame in saving your skin if there's treasure involved.

This game is for sure about time management. I've seen quite a few posts about it taking a long time for their crew to do things that I solo in half of the time. Now, that being said, if I have a hot ticket item (Ashen Winds Skull, Cursed Chests, grade V flag, Ancient Tribute, Manifest, Captain Skull/Chest, Fort Skull/Chest, etc) I will for sure do a drive by along my route and jump off ship with it to turn in then mermaid back to continue a long my way. Everything else is pretty easy to come by from emissary quests and voyages and shouldn't bother you to lose.

You'll hit a point where you're just like meh, if they sink me then they've earned it and end up having more fun battling than turning in loot. It takes time but you'll get there.

LOL, not that time evidently! Nothing is yours until you actually turn it in.

    I follow the same creed.

My son plays the game too and he always tells me that it takes long to do anything in this game. But I disprove him time and time again. With proper efficiencies and time management, I can accomplish more in 30 minutes than him and his friends do in 2 hours.

  • That really sucks. You should be able to stack loot, and if someone sinks you its because they beat you, and they deserve the loot. If you lose your loot haul because the game's server stability is unreliable and you lose it due to none of your own fault.

Its not your fault that that loot was lost. Alot of people here seem to think that it was your fault you lost your loot. Which isn't true, if someone had come along and sank you. Then yeah, its your fault, suck it up and get over it. But alas, it is honestly too much to hope for the developers to get better servers. I think if they could or wanted too, they would have done it already.

Well what if there's a power outage or a plane crashed into your house or something crazy, it's just not fair! It's life man, sometimes life is gonna happen.

  • 300k? Whew. You should of sold before 2k

  • This happened me and my crew the other day.

I'm pretty certain that the server you were on crashed hence you can't reconnect.
