Noob voice chat question

    Hey there,

    I use headphones and a mic as does my friend. If we're sneaking around on someone else's ship doing our thing and want to talk to each other or make a plan, how do we do that without the enemy crew hearing us?

    Is there a 'only friends can hear you' button?

    Mumble...

    But it is way cooler and immersive to have everone use Game world voip chat and roleplay.

    But this is more rare than the Shrouded Ghost.

    @stundorn Ah okay. So people use different voice platforms.

    So another player may have a mic but they can't talk to me because I'm in game chat and their using discord?

    I'm on XBox btw. So there isn't a quick button press to say something secret to my buddy. It's more like real life, make a plan then go in and keep quiet.

    We use discord for the Crew and i have Push to Talk to use the ingame worldchat if i want to say something ingame to others.

    @mcmechanism I use Xbox, my son plays through Steam. We use Party Chat, with the game chat off. Other crews can’t hear me. They can hear him because he has push to talk. I have to turn game chat on to talk to other crews. When I play solo, I can flip my mike when I want to talk to other crews.

    I hadn't quite appreciated the set-ups that can be used with the chat.
