Ban TDM players on Arena

    @stundorn teaming is okay in the arena, and tdm is okay in the arena. The arena is a condensed version of sea of thieves. It offers many of the feelings of the whole game in shorter bursts, sailing, pvp, chest digging, the thrill of the chase, and of course dying!

    Demarco wants silver and doesn't care how you get it.

    @DrWhetFaartz491 most people who are doing TDM in arena are doing it for fun, they have well passed their commendation numbers for kills. If you cant take playing with them beat them instead. The arena is about more than naval battles.

    MOST of us are pretty chill, we wont kill you unless you cannon us, if there's a chest on the fort were TDMing at just take it, we only kill if you kill, mostly myself and people i play with wont even spawncamp you if you try to sink us, we just sail you into the red sea, sure we'll have to kill you a couple times but most of us dont cannon you so you can still get the win, we dont care about wins or commendations because most of us have already got them all in arena, we only TDM for fun, arena commendations arnet even used for much anyway, pistol and sniper kills which are the main things we get, are only used for weapon skins, and i dont see how having all the commendations in arena is such a big deal anyway, its not like it makes you better at the game, also some of my most kills in matches ive had in a TDM on a sloop arena game is probably around 25-35 i dont really remember, but if were just getting kills the entire game, i dont even think its possible to get above 45 kills in a sloop arena TDM, even if your a god at the game, most of my TDMer friends call me at least a top 10 eu player, i dont really think that though, but that's there opinion not mine, but just grabbing a chest or a few cannons would easily win you the game, just leave us do our thing man

    @boogyghost101 Not once was arena advertised as a PvP mode. It was called a Competition, or a Contest, to get the most points in a certain amount of time.

    The people like you who heard the name "Arena" took it upon yourself to assume it was a PvP mode, and, they changed it to your liking. It ruined the game mode. It originally had skill, you had to keep an eye on your opponents, and pick between getting more chests, or taking out those with too many.

    Now it's just a mess of players farming AFK ships and TDMing. Thanks, to you guys who couldn't read the description of Arena on the main screen, all teasers, and everywhere else.

    Sea of Thieves is a “make your own fun” game while sticking within the rules. If this is Rare’s stance on how we play the game, as a player you have to respect how they/we decide to play Arena.

    Im speaking for not only myself but for ever TDMer. Although we complain about the hitreg or the skill base of the game, deep down we all have a love for it. No matter how angry we will be for that 1 to 2 seconds after dieing to a sword spammer or hitreg shots. We still love the game and wont forget that

    We know. You ruined a TDM and u got camped. We do nothing wrong. We find the fun in this dysfunctional game mode. We aren't breaking any rules, we can't be banned for TDMING. The game doesn't work but that doesn't mean it's not fun. U might not like TDMING but remember a large amount of us do.

    Just give us custom Arena games where we can TDM in private, they can even make it not count for anything like private servers for Adventure (those also should've been out by now and not just limited to content creators).

    Until then, either enjoy your free win and be thankful that anywhere from 4-12 sweats aren't just spawncamping you, or ask if you can join, you might have more fun than you think, even if you die a lot.

    Waaaaaaaaaaaaa. I think this child needs the wambulence. Rare has already banned people for discord screenshots. If you don’t go near them your fine. If the chest spawns on the island say I want the chest and your fine. If your gonna cry about you just being bad or you getting camped go back to Fortnite

    @greengrimz it is a sand box. That’s why there is TDMing in it and spawn camping. Why would rare make coms for kills if they didn’t want people getting kills you need over 1200 weapon kills plus over 400 cannon kills.

    Now that arena doesn’t allow mic/text communication, it’s harder for people to even arrange TDMs anymore. The problem might just fade away on its own.

    I don't see any reason to ban TDM'ers. For what i have seen and heard they seem to be the most active arena players and banning them would mean even worse que times in arena and contribute to it's death. Usually arena players don't effect your game in any way because they live in their own bubble but if you just want to get naval combat you can just go for them?

    Saying it should be banable because it isn't "how you are supposed to play" and demanding bans for them for that is same as wanting players who play on allianceservers get banned because that isn't "how you are supposed to play the game". As for what we have seen they haven't done that for two to years of what allieance system has been in game already so i don't see them doing for this.

    I also think when custom servers come and if they will allow players to decide what ships barrels will have in them when starting I assume TDM'ers will be gone from arena.

    The people who tdm usually have fully completed arena in terms of kills and wins so there is no benefit for them not to tdm and tdms are fun and usually, tdmers would just spawn camp your team if you like that better.

    @drwhetfaartz491 Okay, this is not the type of TDM most players play. And this is really annoying. I personally let anyone get the chest and don't spawn camp anyone, unless you are shooting cannons at me or something. Those type of people you are describing deserve to be banned from Arena. But I don't see this often. Most people just want to enjoy the pvp.

    Majority people are all done with 28/28 on Arena. TDM is best way to practice combat, so 60% TDM in Arena 40% in Adventure.
    Which makes TDM ships in Adventure absolutely overpowered.
    The whole point of TDM in Arena is to get better and stay better.
    People who think TDM is to cheat "kills" don't know what they talking about. If you are not done with your Arena accommodations you are unlikely to get any "kills" because as soon as you land in fort you become casualty, that if you even make it down to fort in one piece.

    Also sailing on TDM ship in Adventure is the most relaxing thing in this game. That is a time when you are not checking horizon for some enemy ships trying to attack, and you got to enjoy full beauty of this game.
    Also do silly things like pretend to be maiden voyagers so some friendly random crew keeps explaining how to use buckets, sails etc. Until some random Reaper tries to take bite out of the both ships and gets spawn camped by Maiden Voyagers. Oh God we laughed so hard, because other crew was trying to tell us how to run from Reaper and that we should try to jump at outposts etc. We were like neh will will try our best.

    People in adventure will pve all day but it's a pirate game you are suppose to steal peoples loot but no one says that should be bannable or that they are playing the wrong way. People will play this game how they want to and tdming isn't made to "boost" that is the most incorrect thing I have ever heard, tdming was made to have fun with your friends and fight on an island because fighting on ships is way more boring.

    It has not, now people just name their pets to be toxic and do TDM.

    @drwhetfaartz491 Well if there was no TDMs you would Dislike arena more tdm er are mostly get clips and getting better 1 to 1 combat but if you rather get spawned camp all game because TDM er get banned suit your self again you cant get banned for spawn killing arena unless theirs hacking/cheating and toxic when i mean toxic i mean hate and slurs not getting bucketed on and danced. and another thing spawn killing is classified under trying to get the other demobilized to sink it but beside sinking it just being out of the game the whole time but your only defense to that it to scuttle. So would you rather have tdms or being spawned killed for clips and practice.

    Bottom line here is that people would like to target practice on Arena, now mini TDM at the fort is probably the less intrusive way to do it, alternative is to board ship and stay until sinks than board another ship and stay until that one sinks.
    If you getting spawn camped on the ship you are making no progress so not sure if that is alternative people want. Regardless I am fine with boarding ships.
    In fact when there is no TDM that's what everybody does.

    I would rather get spawned camped on my boat while we actually play and attempting to get the chest.
