Sometimes the mermaid takes way too long to spawn, and considering its importance it can get quite annoying. It doesn’t need a smaller proximity range to appear but it should always appear, i think the environment and ur crewmate’s mermaid can mess it up, what happened to me was that my crewmate launched himself out of a cannon and i fell of the ship, i could see his mermaid for minutes while mine was nowhere also the ship was far too after like a minute and i was waiting for like two we were in pvp fight so it was pretty damn annoying

@alighieri6 when another ship is nearby, the mermaid will spawn later, that's an intended feature...so it's fine
Anyway...when you fall off, swim the opposit way your ship goes, so it can spawn a bit earlierI did just that, i know how it works! Both ships were going away and got pretty far imo it should have been there already, I been in situations like this and it never took this long, and i could only see my crewmate’s mermaid which was really far away. And anyway mermaid spawns next to another ship too if u are far enough from ur own and i was not even near it anyway. I think it was my crewmates mermaid messing with mine to spawn because i waited like two minutes counting from where my ship was at a distance it shoulda spawned already
@schwammlgott oh sorry i misunderstand u a little bit, my point is that I was chased by ships for example, and when i jump off my ship it spawns like in 10 seconds this time it took around 2 minutes
