One thing that really needs fixing is this issue with loading in from a death or mermaid.
I play on xbox and when I'm about to leave the ferry I mostly get stuck on a black screen for a further 30 seconds. When pvping can be really frustrating. Same thing happens when catching the mermaid. It's almost a game breaking issue and can favour the opponents. Please fix this rare, I can't be the only one experiencing this

@fugginfudge The long black screen is due to the slow hard drive used within the Xbox One. You can fix that by getting a GOOD external hard drive or SSD and install the game there. By a good hard drive, I don't mean one of those little portable ones but one that uses a faster 7200RPM drive - it is worth the slightly greater cost. I'm playing on a Day One Xbox One console using an external 7200RPM drive and will not encounter these long load times, most time loading back in to ship from the ferry door/mermaid in 10 seconds. SSD is even quicker, but more money for less storage space.
@dlchief58 to add to this, I have played on OG xbox, one x, and now I play on the series X. It has improved tremendously on every console and the black screen time for me now ranges from 1-3 seconds. The hardware really limits it. Potentially they could better optimize, but I'm confident that they've done everything they can to do so here.
