Jumped into a late night AU server, checked the reapers table to see if there were any sweats on the server, no little toy boat.. Start my run, no joke, 20 mins later, i have a 5 star Reapers barreling towards me. I left the session but now im out time and doubloons for the reapers table not displaying what its supposed to, id have left the seesion immediately had i known there were try-hards floating around.

@slash-kaimei if you dont hoist an emissary they dont see you and it doesnt matter.
when i solo i play the game very different and fly under the radar, i dont do anything that can attract others and i dont stay anywhere another ship is around if i want to be undisturbed.
Or i do the oppisite and try to steal from others unnoticed or whatever i am around.
Hard fact is solo you will always be at the maximum disadvantage in PvP.
but there are ways to avoid PvP to nearly 100% if a you are willing to and accept you cant do everything then.@slash-kaimei or you just realise that this game is pvpve and that one is just as much part of it as the other...

You should only rely on the Emissary tables if you are Reaper seeking other Emissaries. If you're playing an emissary, it's a good idea to check your ship's map table frequently. Reapers will join at any time and Grade 5 comes quickly if you do the right things.
@slash-kaimei Chances are, the reaper ship got merged onto your server. As far as I know, the emissary tables have been addressed and display active emissaries correctly. If you are looking for a quiet server, then actively search for a server at login that does not have a reaper chest spawned on the map. In order for a reaper chest to spawn, there needs to be at least three ships on the server. Having no reaper chest spawns on the map will guarantee a lower population server, but remember that ships can always merge in.

If done correctly you can get reaper V in under 5 minutes...

They ruined adventure mode when they added Reapers? Not in my book.. Emissaries came in at the same time didn't they? One wouldn't exist without the other, bit like Yin & Yang. They both take the heat off those that want to slip below the radar somewhat, you should be thankful.
You just have to remember not to fly Emissary if you want to stand a good chance of avoiding Reapers or PvP in general. Amazes me how many think they should be able to get all the Emissary rewards without the associated risks.. Smh...

I think I wasn't goading, or laughing at someone. I was just pointing out the ironic of the situation. Getting frustrated is ok, feeling entitled to call toxic someone in a PVP game is not. Don't expect a nice answer as well.

If you think having a pirate ship that sinks people ruined the game or is toxic, then you should just uninstall the game and not play it. Me and my bud sunk a grade 5 reaper in our sloop. It was fun for both crews to battle it out. Clearly this game isn’t for you dude. Reaper 5 isn’t being a try hard. Also from experience, most reaper ships just run when the see someone come towards them.

yeah. there is certainly a lot of venting on these forums from time to time. i think the mix of pve and pvp in this game results in some getting super frustrated at times when things don't work out the way they think it will or plan it to (both in pvp and pve). i mean we just need to look at the megathread and all the arguments in there to see how passionate people get.
it doesn't help that text doesn't convey context or emotion very well and something that is a subtle joke can be read badly and misunderstood. it'd be nice if people were less critical of one another though.
c'est la vie i guess. you gotta go where the waves carry you. sometimes it's to a tropical island, sometimes it's into the rocks.

The problem isn’t the tables. As someone pointed out, grade 5 reaper is easy to achieve in few min. Now you running away from a session because one appeared, that is the issue.
How you expect to grow if you run? Seems a waste of time when you do that. Sure they come for you but maybe it’s a solo sloop and your a two man sloop? Or brig. You got a chance. Fact you don’t know the ship type or number of pirates on it and only a shadow of a ship in the map gives you a chance.
@slash-kaimei the crew merged into the server after you finished looking at the emissary table. This is a pointless post and you’re probably better editing it or deleting it.
