Why can't I remap my Open Inventory keybind?

    Having TAB as Open Inventory button (on PC) is probably the most irritable thing to try to live with. In most - if not all - other games, Inventory was usually opened with E, I, or Esc. So in a confrontational moment like battling a ship, it's super frustrating to constantly remember to use TAB to swap ammo for my cannon.

    At which point, I tried to look for how to remap that button manually to E for convenience sake, but apparently I can't change it! Why? It's one of the most unusual buttons to put an Inventory on, why not at least make it able to change/customize it? In a PvP game the last thing you want to consider is consistently trying to remember what button did what.

    @uri5718 When I'm on cannon I can hold Q to switch between cannonballs. Kind of like a quick inventory toggle specifically for the cannon balls. I believe this button can be remapped.

    Idk, but SoT is not unique for having it on Tab, and i prefer using Tab in all games as I is more suitable for a game with lots of menus like RPGs and MMORPGs. Tbh i don't know which game made me used to Tab, but i find it more accessible ever since.
    To be fair, E will always be my primary interaction button which i have to remap from F in modern games, so i guess most of us have something we just refuse to get used to.

    @uzugijin I wasn't exactly argumentizing why TAB was a good/bad thing, I was pointing at the inability to customize it for those that aren't accustomed to it.

    @uri5718 yep, good point. there are third party softwares to remap keys to one another. you could make pressing I to output Tab for example. Not much more to do about it at the moment, i guess.
