Just one legacy bug that is long overdue a fix (no wind lines)

    I have reported this one in the past and it pretty much dates back to the first year of the game...

    NO WIND LINES

    I don't know how often others get this one but I get it very regularly - maybe once every other session.

    I know it's not the worst bug in the game, and it can be fixed by a trip to the Ferry, but it's still incredibly frustrating (not to mention a trip to the Ferry is even more annoying if you have a full health restore pool).

    As far I can tell (remember I get this one a lot), it's mainly caused by damage-over-time attacks - fire and venom being the most obvious ones that come to mind. I've never gotten it after attacks from other players, only ever PvE.

    I know there are plenty of bugs in the game but this one just irks me a lot because of how often I get it and how long it's been in the game.

    If you get this bug, please let me know.

    Or tell me about other bugs that get on your nerves a lot but might not be so important in the grand scheme of things!

    @realstyli honestly I like the game more with no wind indicator other than your flag, feels more realistic and or skill based, got to at least have the common sense to know your flag is waving in the winds current direction to know how to angle sails. Either way I'm cool, but I would prefer no wind lines, but that's just me ❤️

    Oh yeah, don't get me wrong, if they were taken out and everyone was on an even playing field I wouldn't be too upset. I've often put up my flag to help with the issue - it's about the only time I do raise a flag. It just becomes an issue when you end up in PvP.

    @realstyli true, aslong as it just a one sided experience yeah it not fair but I still wouldnt mind it becoming a actual feature. ❤️

    If they added a small permanent “wind flag” to all the ships and removed the wind lines, that would be great, in my opinion

    Happens to me. All I do is look at my flag and go by the direction it flys. Very easy solution then going to the ferry.

    Makes me feel like a real sailor :)

    I experience the bug at least once every couple of weeks. It's not gamebreaking on account of the flags, but it sure is annoying! I too would like to see a fix for this.

    I actually like the wind lines, but would not be against having a togglable "disable windlines" setting.

    @realstyli Yeah, this bug seems like something they'd have gotten around to fixing by now.

    In the meantime, I've found that this and other common bugs (such as the skull whispering sound being stuck to individual players) is solved by taking a trip to the Ferry of the Damned and coming back. It's at the point where if I don't see wind lines when I board my ship, I climb to the top of the mast and jump off until I die. This happens much too frequently, though.

    Rare still needs to fix them, though.

    Theres a few bugs that should get fixed, that has been in the game for way to long. Even day 1.

    1. Wind bug (as you said)
    2. Blackscren bug
    3. Having a broken leg and get stuck in the terrain
    4. Mast bug (not a day 1 but still long time overdue)
    5. Hitreg

    Might be more but these are the ones i notice way to often.

    i know this can be frustrating but to everyone else its not that big a deal because we hardly get it. With the snake venom music charms them which is a really helpful tip most player learn and forget

    Agreed, though I'd personally align and prioritize them backwards.
