Lowering Emissary Flags

  • I've seen quite a few ships that have been abandoned at the outpost with their emissary flags still up. I assume it's because players don't know to go back to the table and lower them when they're done and that they get gold for doing so. Maybe it should be more obvious that is the case.

  • @partyinsanjuan they might not care. the amount of gold and rep you get for a flag is so minimal it doesn't really matter

  • Not really worth it since you only get like 5k gold and minimum rep.

  • @itz-majman @Captain-Coel

I agree with @PartyInSanJuan that they mustn't know - it's like having extra loot spawn right next to you at the Outpost (right where you're cashing in) and going "nah, can't be bothered" and logging off.

It's by far the easiest money in the entire game: takes less than 2 seconds and carries zero risk or expenditure of resources.

    Ain't nobody that rich :)

  • @absentbiscuit76 While sailing with a friend the other day, he left before turning in a level 5 emmisary flag that we had earned. I was more than happy to turn it in on his behalf and messaged him after to let him know that he missed out on almost 15,000 gold.

  • Ive found flags laying on the docks from sunken ships....
Lucky day I found 3 reaper flags.

  • @absentbiscuit76 im just shy of 30 million gold and I haven't had anything to spend it on in awhile. sometimes I leave the flag behind for the next crew. it's only 5 k gold.

  • I often log in and find flags left on the jetty as if the crew knew but didn't care... or else realised after scuttling that they forgot, so left it for the next crew.

It's up there with finding empty treasure chests littering outposts... New players, you can sell those! But, hey, free gold for me.

  • @captain-coel nice. Sometimes I do the same thing with a chest or resource crates - hopefully they don’t despawn before someone shows up :)
