Loot drift to world border

  • People red sea their loot way too much and a healthy, positive and relatively simple change would be to have the loot that is outside of the world border drift back in. Red-seaing loot shouldn't be a mechanic and is very un-piratelike.

  • It doesn't happen as much as some would want people to believe but even if it did that's their choice

People should be able to attack and should be able to run and should be able to do whatever they want with the loot

The "get good" and "play better" mantras apply to both sides not just non-hostile pvers. Get better at chasing or better at sneaking.

Chasers rarely have loot they are either just server lurkers or people that hopped in for some quick high reward low risk hostilities and they have no more entitlement to the loot or to a preference of play by others than anyone else.

There isn't some universal honor code of battle. We are self serving pirates of the salty seas not soldiers in a Mel Gibson directed war movie

  • Unpirate like?
On my ship, my ship my rules. Loot hasnt been turned in, but someone dares come for it. I dont want you to have it, my rule is to keep it away and "waste your time"

Pirates hate when others steal from them. If I can have it...nobody can.

    • Tucking shouldn't be a mechanic and its very unpiratelike. YET people do it regardless.
      Soooo....yeah. :)

    read: rarely but does occur

    and a healthy,

    wrong

    positive

    wrong

    and relatively simple

    very wrong

change would be to have the loot that is outside of the world border drift back in. Red-seaing loot shouldn't be a mechanic

    yes it should

    and is very un-piratelike.

It is extremely piratelike. The only thing more piratelike than spitefully making it so nobody can have your loot is trying to take someone elses.

If we want to consider real world piracy, then sinking someone is actually very un-pirate like. Real pirates board the ship, steal the loot by hand, then leave still without sinking the enemy ship.
