    Last night I beat a fort but the boss counter on my achievements never moved for the helmsman (the one I fought). I got the key but it felt like a really easy battle as well. Is it possible for the boss to despawn or something giving you the key but not actually credit for beating them?

    One to watch for - This sometimes fails to trigger if the final kill is by gunpowder keg or fire. Make sure the final kill is done by a players action (sword or gun).

    Thanks for that, it was a gunpowder barrel so that makes sense, just happy I still got the key.
