I like how you can discard quests from your inventory, but it would be handy to be able to remove picked up quests from the radial as well. Especially when you’re doing an athenas and your crew keeps picking up message bottles. 😂 What’s everyone else think?
Discarding looted/ picked up quests from radial
It's a long requested feature. I think the issue is how it can be implemented. A picked up quest exists in every crew member's radial not just your inventory, and doesn't have a physical presence in the world, so discarding it becomes tricky.
Maybe they could occupy a section in the quests inventory and be voted to disgard from there.
Or, alternatively, when you are holding one up there could be a option to vote to discard.
@drunken-p1rate
Tell your crew to stop picking them up 😁.I am against a pick-and-choose for the random quests; if a crew doesn't want their goals mixed with random stuff: be more careful with emptying barrels and picking things up.
If crews want only the nice ones (e.g. a chest with wood), they gotta have to play with that these can complicate other quests (i.e. skellies on an island you want to do the main quest(s).A "remove all quests" option would be fine; gotta be careful though: you vote for that by accident, you reach the last chapter of Athena and a crewmate disconnects vhoum goes all quests...
They have already convoluted and overcomplicated the radials so much, I see no reason why we can't just separate the voyage types - just have (on Xbox) X go to the next page, B to go to the previous page, and have A and Y switch between the primary voyages, bonus voyages, and the TT books with each set on their own radial.
Maybe they could use this when the quest radial is dedicated to a secific input like it used to be?

Perhaps put the random ones from barrels and bottles together with the Notes ?
I'd like that feature aswell and I don't think it would be that hard to implement.
When you have the quest selected and hold the appropriate button to see it fullscreen, just add a functionkey to abandon it. If you play solo, you can make a double check like "are you sure" and with crews just give the other members a popup message which they have to respond to with a specific button and then vote for "abandon", if they care. When the majority (2of3 / 3of4) is reached, the quest gets dropped… if not it's stays where it is.
Doesn't sound that hard or complicated to me or am I missing something?
Maybe dropping a quest while actually doing it, needs to be taken care of... So it doesn't invoke some bugs or abuse. But else I think that it could be done in that fashion and be a nice QoL enhancement.
