I think that Rare nailed the newest update.
The event tab is an intuitive way for the devs to reach a broader section of the player base considering not all players have visited the SOT website. Rare has created a simple way for us players to check on active community events and we are even being rewarded with cosmetics by completing the challenges within. Lovely.
The Halloween cosmetics are spectacular. I am actually excited to grind the challenges to unlock each of the cosmetics. Simply put, the costumes look stunning. They even added further benefits of acquiring the costumes as a Pirate Legend. The sword, the pistol, all of the weapons are visually impressive and I am looking forward to showing them off on the seas!
In my opinion, this is one of the stronger updates that Rare has implemented into the game so far. The devs are more effectively reaching the player base with rewarding community events, and the Halloween cosmetics are top notch - they could have easily put any of the cosmetic content that can be earned by honest play in the Pirate Emporium. Job well done.
