Gunpowder kegs disappearing

    At first, I thought this was just my mind playing tricks on me, but now I've realized it is definitely a bug. Gunpowder kegs of all types, including stronghold and Athena kegs, have been disappearing from my crows nest quite often. We thought that we just misplaced them or someone stole them originally, but it has happened across many days and many servers.

    Today, we wanted to make sure that we were correct. We counted all of the kegs that we put in the crows nest. We had 4 Athena's kegs and 2 stronghold kegs. By the time we reached the outpost, without encountering a single other players and double checking if there was anyone around at all times, we found that both stronghold kegs had disappeared and one of the Athena's had as well. We are 100% positive that it was not one of us nor another player, and obviously they did not explode. I'm not sure if this specifically only takes place in the crows nest though. I have not tested it.

    UPDATE: We've been sailing around a little bit more and we just noticed that our Reaper's Chest also disappeared. We saw it on our ship around 5 minutes before noticing that it was gone. We checked the map to see if it was anywhere, but it wasn't.

    I know this definitely sounds like someone is messing with us, but I swear that it has to be a bug. It is completely impossible that it could have gone anywhere else based on what each of us was doing at the time.

    I'm not crazy. Please someone reassure me that I'm not crazy. I'm scared.

    3. One of your crew mates is a troll and I'm not talking the kind that live under the bridge

    have to agree the only time I had things disappear was when David Blaine got on my boat.

    Things don't disappear in your boat but it is totally possible if you server merge and have loot on a island disappear I've had that happen a bunch of times

    Gunpowder kegs do randomly despawn from the crowsnest. I've had it happen to me, and have submitted tickets about it a few times although it has always been the regular kegs and never the stronghold variety.

    For anyone who thinks one of us was trolling, we definitely weren't. It was just me and my friend on a sloop. He told me that 2 Athena kegs went missing from his ship about 2 weeks ago when he was on with other people and I thought he had just misplaced it or something, but then it happened to us again. I know it sounds like a troll and I completely understand why, but I promise you that I'm certain it's not.

    It would have made sense that some stuff has been disappearing from the crows nest as a bug or something, but today we also lost a reapers chest and a grog chest. We paid very close attention to the stuff we picked up and those are the only two things we noticed. But we're positive that it wasn't another player, nor was it our own faults. It is a bug. And I really hope Rare finds out the problem soon because I don't enjoy losing Athena rep from missing kegs.

    @netrovek we had a same issue, just with Reaper's Chest. They gone. in several time, and not in the same server.

    I don't typically carry regular kegs but I carry strongholds to sell most days from shipwrecks and I turn in reaper chests daily and have never had either disappear once once on the boat.

    Reaper chests occasionally despawn while I'm traveling to them and a new one pops up on the server not long after but never once it's on the ship

    Only time I've ever had anything disappear from the ship was when some open crew trickster was on board

    @oathpower We checked every single tuck spot basically every 10 minutes just to be certain. And there weren't any other ships near us the entire time. Also it would've been kinda weird to steal the stronghold kegs and not all the Athena kegs, along with the other random stuff.
