Pirate Capes!

  • I know capes arent really a pirate thing.
However let me tell you this...

There is nothing more cooler looking than standing on the deck of a ship, sword in hand with your cape flapping in the wind.

Because this game is heavily cosmetic focused, we should have more say on how we all look. We dont need to all look like 17th century pirates. Not in a world of skeletons and magic. Some items that are ‘out there’ like hoods and capes would allow us all to put our own interpretation on how our pirates should look...

...and my pirate would look very cool with a dark blue cape :)

I dont think it would be massively out of place having said that. Afterall you can get steel breastplates from clothing shop. Its not too much of a stretch

    yes

  • @wolfmanbush I'd still wear it haha
It's awkward, not practical and a down right pain. That's why it's perfect 😂

  • @daringclarky card games on motorcycles?

  • @robby0316 What do you mean?

  • Hell yeah! More customisation options are always god.

  • @mferr11 Um, not exactly. More customization can be good, but at a certain point it becomes excessive. For example, when someone suggests adding ship customization with the lanterns, harpoons, and rowboats; but then you usually have others add in excessive additions - ropes, cages, doors, ladders, tables, the brig, etc. It can even get to a point of having so much that you're left in indecision - kind of like not knowing what to watch on Netflix. Not to mention the burden it would put on the devs to update already existing sets.

  • @galactic-geek I'd love to be able to customise everything you just mentioned.

  • @mferr11 Yeah, that's exactly the response that I was afraid of... 🙄

  • @galactic-geek Not sure i agree with you there matey.
Afterall, having an abundance of choice lets you pick your own style instead of choosing the best of a bunch of so so cosmetics.

Problem with netflix is you have lots of choice but a lot of meh films.

Where as if the quality was great throughout, the quantify would just make it even better.

Yes, but there's a point where quantity trumps quality if you oversaturate the market. Furthermore, you put a strain on the developers as they have to recreate the style for previously released sets while simultaneously adding more to their plate for future sets. What are you going to ask for next? Masks? Jewelry? Oh, wait - that's already been requested. How is all of this going to animate, and fit in with, other articles of cosmetic clothing? That is EVEN MORE for the devs to figure out. If they have to spend so much time on updating and releasing cosmetics how are they going to find the time to add new reasons for us to continue sailing?

yes but now I want to look like a highway man like d Turpan esquire

Like I said I don't agree with your POV mate.

Besides at £30 for a ship set and approx £4.50 or so an item, I'd say they should be more than happy to make more cosmetics. Money is money.

There's tons of people out of work too so no doubt they wouldn't struggle finding people if they needed more people.

Quantity wont trump quality when there is enough people on the task.

Anyways all I asked for was capes.
    I don't see a problem with that
