Maybe as an skipable option, but sailing a little while to get into main game every time you're in there seems a bit annoying after a while...
Nono not to far that would become old fast, just anchor up and into the shroud that is surrounding the island, maybe two paths open and you sail into one, Adventure mode or the Arena make your choice.
