Additional Sail Customization

    I'd like to see the option to add more sails to a ship. The ships have just standard square main, top, and/or gallant sails depending on ship type, but we should get some lateen sails, stay sails, jibs, spanker sails, etc. Like seen here for example: alt text

    lol, many MANY crews I have been on ignore adjusting sails in all but the most heated combat situations (where they actually don't need to be played with much)

    I would hate to see how many ships would be crawling around with that many sails to keep adjusting.

    the ships in the game are not very similar to real ones, you need not only to add sails but also the ability to change the interior and possibly superstructures

    @kommodoreyenser That pic's just an example of a ridiculous number of sails. My suggestion is to add user customization to add-on another sail. Like just one jib, a stay sail, and a lateen spanker.

    @ajm123 I can see the change to the Maiden Voyage:

    "Instead of teaching you how to use each and every sail" points to all thirty of them "I'll just give you this book."

    they did it in the new PoTC update. they could just add it as aesthetic like the black pearl.
    Would be very nice. no added benefits no extra stuff. Just looks more complete.

    from an aesthetic and realism standpoint, I'd like to see more sails that are shaped correctly. There's no reason they would need to all be adjusted independently, I like how many adjustments there are now, so that shouldn't change.

    From a gameplay perspective, aside from keeping adjustments the same as now, the sails also need to not block vision anymore than they do now.
