Optimization issues? (PC)

  • Hi
I've been playing Sea of Thieves for years now, i was in the alpha tests too, and only less than a year ago i decided to switch to PC from my Xbox One X.
I have a pretty beefy pc:
    i7-9700k 3.6GHz-RTX 2080 8GB-16Gb of ram.
I can handle the game usually around 160/200 fps when i sail around, but when i go on islands, it usually drops around 100, which i think it's fine (I use a 144hz monitor so like, it looks a bit choppy but it's still more than playable for me).
But this issue gets worse on big islands like Plunder Valley, Discovery Ridge, Smuggler's Bay, Thieves Haven and Kraken's Fall (Haven't spent that much time in the Devil's Roar since i started playing on PC but i believe the same issues can be applied on some of the islands in there too).
On these big islands, my framerate usually drops around 60, sometimes even in the 50 and i have no idea why.

Yes, i have the game installed on an SSD.
I run the game at maximum graphics at 1080p resolution.
Vsync and framerate cap are off.
The only program running in the background usually is only Discord (Tried to play with it closed but no performance increases at all).

I never actually thinked of making a post in here to ask if this is an issues that alot of peoples have, or is it only on my side.

It's nothing game breaking really, but i already got into fights on those islands with other crews and the low fps (Yes, around 60 is still high, but i am now used to the smoothness of 144hz) just makes it worse.

Sorry if someone already made a post like this, but thanks anyway for reading it and i don't know....let me know if there's any fix for it or this is something i am gonna have to live with! ^^
