Dear Rare,
I am an avid Sea of Thieves player that has thoroughly enjoyed the game for the last 2 years, and I have a suggestion that I believe could improve the clothing system.
Many people have asked in the past, "Dear Rare, Add the ability to dye clothing", but that would be a MASSIVE undertaking when you consider how many types of clothes are in the game, and the fact you would need to create a new texture for each clothing item in the game if you added a dying system!
My suggestion to you (Rare, and whoever reads this) is that you start simple and work from there.
In other words, take something bland like the "Sailor Shirt" and give the player base multiple color versions of that item. You wouldn't have to do it with every item in the game, but just a select few items like the, "Sailor Jacket", "Ruffian Sea Dog Trousers", "Ruffian Sea Dog Hat", all of which are items that are 1 color and wouldn't be as difficult to add color variations too.
For the Ruffian Sea Dog Hat, in particular, it would be great to see more colors. There isn't a lot of variety in terms of bandana caps so it would help a lot for matching items.
Additionally, this would give players more things to buy, which is always a good thing.
I am sorry if this suggestion has already been posted, but I did not see a "Search" feature on the forums.
