I'm relatively new to the game and I already know it's been talked about left and right since launch... But I really don't see why we don't have some small tool similar to the Halo: Reach emblem builder for our sails. I don't know much about developing myself, but it doesn't seem too hard to implement preset emblems and colors that we can switch around and give our sails even more customization. This game is all about the cosmetics, but it seems less rewarding for me to grab a pair of sails when I know a thousand (or more) players are already rocking the same ones, and I think it'd be a nice touch.
The only thing I understand would be a potential obstacle for this would be that it would seemingly render the pre-made ship sets irrelevant as everyone rushed to create their own. To combat this, maybe make it more expensive than the others. Something you really need to work for. Or maybe only Pirate Legends can sail their own colors... It'd be an added bonus for reaching that "huge" milestone in the game.
Though I am new here and having an absolute blast so far, I think this'd be a nice touch. And they could do it in a way that's simple (with preset colors and emblems that we can mix and match), safe (with preset images so players can't select certain ones), and all the more customizable/rewarding!
