Xbox Companion app not changing name/No activity feed/No achievements/Steam Version

    As the title. Xbox companion app will not recognize SoT. I do not see any activities or any achievements being completed. With Windows+G I do link my steam account but it disappears everytime I restart the game or my system and never stays linked. My in game name does not match my Xbox gamertag even thou it was changed 6 days ago.

    Issues with sending invites to my sessions even after having other players friended/followed, which is annoying as session loot becomes a waste after having loaded ships with necessities and have to restart again by joining others games while ship is stocked nicely.

    User name is Sigilosauros, in game tag Upcomingcord511.

    Are you logging into two different Microsoft Accounts? As far as I know, your in game name and username should be the same if you are using the same account.

    As far as I know i Have only one Microsoft account. How would I be able to check that?

    To specify, I am logged in as administrator on my own PC. My Xbox account and only had one account for each, Windows and Xbox. Last time I played on Xbox was in 2012.

    My windows store purchases do show up on my Xbox live account page so I am assuming everything is fine here.

    Also, following people back or friending them still does not show them in game when I try to send them invites. I believe people have to find and friend me with my ingame tag but not my xbox live tag.

    @sigilosauros I looked at both of those names and they are indeed separate xbox accounts with different gamerscore, so if you are playing on one and checking achievements on the other you won't see anything appearing because you are playing on the other account.

    Did you create a new account to play Sea of Thieves?

    Oh wow! So apparently I do have that account and I have no idea how or when i twas created, albeit it has one of my emails. I wonder if it was my son or was made for him. Either way, lets see if I can get that to work and switch my gamertag on there to what I want. Thank you SO MUCH!

    P.s: It appears that somehow I've ended up having this account created, which I have no idea on how.

    So now changing my Gamertag changed the first account name instead of the second one that was created after my purchase of SoT. Trying to change the account name UpcomingCord511 changes the original, Sigilosauros, now Oulush. Weird! What am I doing wrong?

    P.s: The second account (UpcomingCord511) doesn't even have an option for me to change gamertag. It just seems like an oddly created account with not much info.

    It looks like you are changing the original 'Sigilosauros' account name only, which is now 'Oulush'.

    The sigilosaurus link no longer works for me, it redirects me to my account profile because the gamertag no longer exists. This one does work and looks like the original Sigilosaurus account: https://account.xbox.com/en-us/profile?gamertag=Oulush

    If you only started playing recently, you should be able to just unlink the account in Steam and then sign in with your forum account (I assume that is the one you want to use) and start over.

    @d3adst1ck Uh, yes I have started just now, but I am already reputation 40 with 3 factions. Starting a new would be a huge grind!

    Is there a way to combine both accounts by any chance? Ideally I'd like to play with my Oulush account, which is the only one that I thought I had.

    @sigilosauros Not that I know of. You'd have to log into that other account to change the gamertag since it looks like you're only changing the tag of the account you are using to log into this forum.

    @d3adst1ck So the upcomingcord511 account links me to my Oulush account when I want to change the Gamertag. Quite odd!

    PS: Nevermind. I officially now have 2 xbox accounts. Great! :)
