Right now there are four world events. Only one can happen at a time. I remember in the good old days, when you could see a fort cloud and a crew cloud in the sky at the same time. Gave newer players and more experienced players a reason to do world events, and as such have loot on their boat.
If we say, fixed the code until you could run a beach event that chooses between a fort/ashen lord, and an ocean event that chooses between fleet/flameheart, then people would have choice, loot, a reason to fight on the open water, and honestly people would start doing something, anything, other than just slowly voyaging.
I haven't seen a Fleet for weeks because it's always Flameheart or fort, and it's rare (heh) to see a fort.
tl;dr Make it so both flameheart and fort cloud can coexist in the sky, or ashen lord and fleet, or any other combination of cannon combat and cutlass combat.
Right now only one at a time caused too many gameplay hassles that weren't here before haunted shores related to money and goalsetting.
tl;dr tl;dr make boat event and beach event at the same time, game would be fun again
