Ability to change lantern light colors on islands and outposts

An idea like this conflicts with the use of said colored flames. Right now lantern colors serve a purpose of lighting beacons and activating the Fort of the Damned. being able to essentially swap out a color at an outpost makes the process of collecting flames pointless.

Or are you implying that you can just change them to colors you already collected?

Yah, what Nabber said. People would go around leaving the harder to get colors at outposts all over. Who needs to chase down a storm to get killed by lightning if you can just drop by an outpost and grab a white lantern that way?

@nabberwar I think they implying that the lanterns on the outposts should act like the ones on boats. If I pull into port with the red flame, I could change all of sanctuary to the red flame. I'm okay with it if this is the intent, but it needs a timer. say 30 min before reverting to normal.
