Server Region Selection

  • I have been playing Sea of Thieves for over a year and a half.
Still very impressed with the game that never gets boring even after you have all the factors max level.

Only I have a problem. After I have played a lot of PVE and achieved almost everything in this, I am out for PVP, simply for action and fun fights.
I also tuck a lot, only the problem is that I play on EU servers and these servers are simply never active based on Fort of the Damned.

After the Fort of the Damned update, I spent a lot of time every day swiching servers looking for PVP, but I have NEVER seen an active Fort of the Damned.
For this reason, I have NEVER ever sold a stolen athena and the Legendary Thief achievement is therefore also impossible to bahle for me.

For this reason, I think it is crucial that there is an option to change the server region.
It doesn't seem very fair to me that people in Asia or America can play a much more entertaining game than people in Europe

Because of this, based on PVP, people who live elsewhere get a "better" game than people who live in Europe, even though it is actually the same game

I really hope this will become an option as I simply can't do anything more fun in the game, while I still think it's a great game

I can agree that America probably has a few more players in SOT than Europe, but you should still be able to find FOTD's, even now it is still hard to find a FOTD in America.

I don't think they're going to add a region changer, simply because there is no need for it. However if you do want to change regions, get a VPN then set yourself in America, then you'll search for servers in America.

  • @kaijoi How do you explain that I have never seen an active Fort of the Damned in Europe and have done it more than 30 times myself.

I am not willing to pay more for a VPN than for the game itself, because the game does not want to add the feature, I have to pay hundreds of euros per year to have more fun in the game.

Depends on how much you search, if you've done it over 30 times yourself, I would assume you are mostly a PVEer, if you are searching with a full galleon crew it still takes a while to find a FOTD, I've searched for over 30 minutes with 3 other people and we didn't find a FOTD, it's all based on luck.

If you don't want to pay for a VPN, that's fine, but there is not a big market for people who want to change their region, so there is no reason to code it into the game when very few people want it.

  • @kaijoi as i said, i'm a PVPer, as i maxed everything, before i was max level on all factors, i did Fort of the Damned to get it

I'm sure a lot of people want it, just about all PVPer's, unless you live in a region where there are a lot of PVEer's
